Denna vecka har Nordfront valt att lyfta fram det finska metalbandet Stratovarius med anledning av att det idag är Finlands självständighetsdag.

Stratovarius spelar melodiös powermetal med mycket synth. Bandet grundades 1984 och har genom åren bytt ut alla sina medlemmar. Den som idag varit aktiv längst i bandet är sångaren Timo Kotipelto som gick med i bandet 1994. Den svenske synthspelaren Jens Johansson, som är son till jazzmusikern Jan Johansson, har spelat i bandet sedan 1995.

Veckans låt heter Paradise och är från skivan Visions (1997). Låten har ett tydligt grönt och miljömedvetet perspektiv.
