MUSIK. Denna vecka presenterar Nordfront det tyska power metal-bandet Rebellion och deras låt Ynglinga Saga (To Odin We Call).

Rebellion är ett tyskt power metal-band som bildades av gitarristen Uwe Lulis och basisten Tomi Göttlich, båda från bandet Grave Digger. Deras första album släpptes 2002 och var ett konceptalbum baserat på William Shakespeares pjäs Macbeth.

Låten Ynglinga Saga finns med på bandets tredje album Sagas of Iceland — The History of the Vikings Volume 1, som släpptes 2005. I och med detta album började bandets musik uteslutande handla om vikingar och senare även annan germansk historia.

Låten handlar om hur Oden kommer till Norden med de andra asarna och blir dess förste konung och senare även en gud, i enlighet med Snorre Sturlassons Ynglingasagan, som inleder det fornnordiska konungaeposet Heimskringla.
